Rue Sherwood’s design aesthetic is influenced by two
fundamental premises. First, admiration for our local landscape and its native materials, plants, wildlife and changing seasons inspires the desire to foster a sense of place that is appropriate to New England.
Secondly, Rue appreciates the value that beauty, good design and a healthy environment contribute to our collective well-being.
Building on these basic concepts, Rue pairs landform with elegant hardscaping and unique plant combinations to create spaces that welcome and landscapes that thrive.
Rue Sherwood received a Masters in Landscape Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design, and a degree in Plant and Soil Science from University of Vermont. She is a Certified Landscape Designer through Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD).
In her spare time, Rue prefers to be outside gardening, hiking and enjoying this beautiful place we call home.
